Not sure if this is an adult or immature. I'm thinking maybe an immature male orb weaver of some kind?

Just for the record,
there are at least 8 species of Theridion in Virginia: neshanini, glaucescens, albidum, lyricum, murarium, differens, montanum, frondeum, and several more in Maryland and North Carolina which could also be present. It's a killer genus! But we're thinking that with such a striking pattern we should get this one sometime.

Theridion murarium loo
Theridion murarium looks like a good possibility, but probably not the only one.

Looks good to me...
as well. I have a ventral view if needed for ID, but it's not very good.

We would suggest a cobweb weaver
in the genus Theridion, but there are so many...

I think..
that is the correct Genus to place the images. Out of all the images in this Genus, there are none taken in VA. Thanks!
