Okanagan spider needs identifying please - Eratigena agrestis
Westshore Estates, Fintry, Okanagan, British Columbia, Canada
August 3, 2009
Size: approx 1/2 inch
Spider was found inside the house. We have a few of these. Front pincer like claws. When offered a piece of paper to bite, yellowish brown fluid was left on the papertowel.

Moved
Moved from Tegenaria. Shape and size of palp make me sure of ID.

Moved
Moved from Spiders. I agree with Mandy's ID, but I'm not certain enough to move it to species level.

Moved from ID Request.

Funnel Web?
Resembles one of the funnel web spiders. Maybe from genus Tegenaria.

Maybe someone else can give an opinion to back me up (2AM spider IDs can be tricky o.o)

Looks like...
...a male Hobo spider (Tegenaria agrestis). I have a huge population of Hobos around my house and have identified many of them using their epigynum or palps. It's because of this that I feel like I can say that this spider you submitted is a Hobo.
