These are hopping around the rocks at my work. I was surprised to see them out in the mid-afternoon sun. If anyone know more specifically what it is, please leave me a comment.

Pallid-winged grasshopper.
This is the most common short-horned grasshopper in urban Arizona: the pallid-winged grasshopper, Trimerotropis pallidipennis, family Acrididae. This is a great shot demonstrating thermoregulation: first, it is perched atop a stone so that it is above the hottest surface. It is also drawing up its hindlegs, and pushing its body as far away from its perch as possible to minimize overheating.
