Friend or Foe - Spodoptera albula

Friend or Foe - Spodoptera albula
Brandon, Hillsborough County, Florida, USA
August 9, 2009
Size: 2.5-3 inches
We have never had anything eat through are Pentas before. These little guys are doing a job on them. I would like to know what they are. Mostly to know if they are poisonous or not. Since they may be relocated. I don't want to use anything harmful to the butterflies on the Pentas.

Harmless to you, foe to your Pentas.
They look like Yellow-striped armyworm. Spodoptera ornithogalli.
