psyllobora renifer? - Psyllobora vigintimaculata

psyllobora renifer? - Psyllobora vigintimaculata
King City, Monterey County, California, USA
August 9, 2009
Size: a little over 2 mm
I found these tiny beetles on our cosmos. I wanted confirmation if this is psyllobora renifer. Also noticed in a previous post you wanted a dorsal view of that species so if this is it here you go :)
They really liked hanging around the older cosmo plants that are going to seed. Found some mating also if you want that photo too.

P. Renifer is not shown by Go
P. Renifer is not shown by Gordon's referance in your area. but P. borealis and P. Vigintimaculata. Someone should be able to figure it out sooner or later

P. vigintimaculata
After doing some further research on the others you suggested, I would definitely go with Psyllobora vigintimaculata which can be seen in pictures in the link here:
http://nathistoc.bio.uci.edu/coleopt/Psyllobora.htm These pictures were taken in irvine, California (only a few hours from where I live). Thank you for your help!
