Bumblebee in VA - 1 of 2 - Bombus pensylvanicus

Bumblebee in VA - 1 of 2 - Bombus pensylvanicus
Chester, Chesterfield County, Virginia, USA
August 8, 2009
Size: over 1 inch
Seen while visiting relatives who live several hundred miles south of me. It's not the bumblebee I usually see in Philadelphia.

I know the lighting is bad, the sun was setting behind the bee and there were no lights on my side of it. A photo w/ camera flash turned out even worse than these.
