Unidentified Salticid - Ghelna - male

Unidentified Salticid - Ghelna - Male
Bixby (south of Tulsa), Tulsa County, Oklahoma, USA
Size: ~ 6mm body length
Unknown Salticid found while riding on a hay wagon helping my parents pick up hay for our horses. Was in the loose hay on the bottom of the trailer (and we were driving on the road at the time!) Captured and photographed later in captivity. I have absolutely no clue as to genus or species on this one, although I'm fairly certain it's a male.

Ghelna canadensis
I know, out of range, but this animal has all the field marks and shape of Ghelna canadensis. That last photo looks really "whitmani" in stance, but the leg segment colors, shape, translucent red carapace, all point to male Ghelna.

Worth revisiting
It does appear that I erroneously identified this as P. whitmani. I'm not familiar with the Ghelna canadensis markings, but I'm quite certain that it isn't P. whitmani. Thank you for the correction.

Sub-adult
These are some great images of a penultimate male P. whitmani.

Moved from Jumping Spiders. Wow - what a gorgeous set of photos! Might be P. cardinalis, but I'm not sure. Jay Barnes or another salticid enthusiast will probably be able to get this to species eventually.
