Bombus Mimic Robber - Laphria fernaldi

Bombus Mimic Robber - Laphria fernaldi
Williams Valley NMRA, Apache County, Arizona, USA
August 4, 2009

Hey, Thanks; Moved
I think I remember seeing the L. Schimming specimen but mine seemed different enough that I thought I'd go to ID Request. Herschel narrowed it down to two species so I moved it to the species page. I hope its right. I love the very cute bifurcated feet. This individual was very enthusiastically looking for prey. Thank you.

Moved from ID Request.

looks like Laphria, maybe Laphria fernaldi ?
This guy looks quite similar. Great photo by the way.

Great shot...
..of a cool bug!
