Moth
See The Black Witch. Nice find! These are usually rarely encountered this far north as they are mostly southern/tropical in distribution (northern specimens are strays from the south).

Hi , Thanks for your info ,I looked it up & has some strange legends with this moth. No one is sick in my home so I guess I am safe however I read one that if one lands in your home or above your door you will win the lottery . Powerball is 212 million tomorrow so I will let you know how it goes
Francene

LOL!
I wish you all the best with that, Francene:-) Regardless, this is an important documentation that you have made with a high-quality image. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Thank you
I am happy to share it & appreciate ya'll helping me identify it.It is still sleeping on my wall I guess he will leave when he is rested . I do not want to harm him so we are just letting him hang out for now. Not to mention he is so big I am sure my pet's will think he is a bird so he is safer there for now.
