I'm not an expert so this is just based on comparison with a photo in Caterpillars of Eastern North America(1). I think this caterpillar resembles Acron*icta gris*ea - Gray Dagger Moth on p. 326. Please wait for another confirmation.

This caterpillar shows some of the same characteristics of another species of Aconicta cat which I recently raised through several molts.
