'Worm? - Citheronia regalis

'Worm? - Citheronia regalis
Williamston, Anderson County, South Carolina, USA
August 16, 2009
Size: About 6 inches long
I have tried to find the name or picture of this on the internet but failed. It was near oak trees on my South Carolina farm. I thought it was a catawba but may be wrong. This "worm" is about 6 inches long and is about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. it has long "horns" with bright red tips.

Royal Walnut Moth caterpillar (Citheronia regalis)
That's what it looks like to me. The caterpillars are known Hickory-Horned Devils.

Worm?
Thanks. Now, I'd like to SEE THE SIZE OF THAT MOTH.
