Interesting Fly

Interesting Fly
Red Wing, Goodhue County, Minnesota, USA
August 5, 2009
This small fly is on a Black-eyed Susan flower head. The flower head is approx. 1/2 inch in diameter. This fly was constantly shoving it's proboscis into the flower head, as it shows the pollen grains on it. It's eye resembled a pumpkin. A second image is added for possible help in an ID. Thanks.
