Fly - Ceratinostoma ostiorum

Fly - Ceratinostoma ostiorum
Bailey Island, Cumberland County, Maine, USA
August 18, 2009
Size: 8 mm
Fly is attracted to light. It is near a seaweed bed. I first thought it was something in Anthomyiidae but this one is decidedly not feeding on nectar. I'll include a thumb of another individual in side view. Please tell me the sex too if you can.
