FLY MIMICKING A BEE - WHAT SPECIES IS IT? - Eristalis tenax - Female
Greenville, Providence County, Rhode Island, USA
August 5, 2009
Size: ~ ⅝"
I'd posted this on the main ID Request a couple of days ago. I've learned it's helpful to post within a Family, if known. This appears to be a fly, so I'm posting it here. I took this photo early in the day. That same day, several hours later, I took three photos that appear to be the same fly. However, due to the time span, I cannot be sure these are one and the same fly. I just posted them here today.
