Size: up to about 7 mm long
about twenty of various sizes found near tip of black oak (Quercus velutina) twig about 1 m above ground in oak woods at edge of power line cut

Probably
I have seen Anisota senatoria in the early instars and they look like this, I don't know if A. virginiensis is identical this early on (I don't think so). But you can check on them in a few weeks to be sure what species.
