Thatching Anthill - Formica obscuripes
near Thompson Falls, Sanders County, Montana, USA

This is the only thatching anthill I ever remember seeing in Sanders County.

Nebraska, Montana... :)
That's the danger of the little scroll ball on the mouse! Anyway I'd say this mound was about 2ft tall
