Here's a nice shot to show you the difference:


on black swallowtail
1) there's more orange spotting on the top row of spots,
2) there is no break in the orange spots, whereas on the spicebush there intrusion of the bluish white speckling into the upper row
3) there are white spots in the lower row of spots whereas if you look at the spicebush, those same spots are fully orange.
