This little insect was making a burrow in the sandy trail ahead of me.

Identification
This is a Cicada Killer Wasp. They show up, for me, in the later part of summer. They sting/inject cicadas with their eggs, which grown inside of the cicadas. From what I've read, they are not agressive, however, they do chase me on the lawnmower :)
