Cicada - Tibicen davisi - Male
Mobile (Dog River), Mobile County, Alabama, USA

Size: 45.5mm (total length)
This cicada has 13.7mm head width and likely a Swamp Cicade T. tibicen. However, this specimen does not have the usual green coloring on the head. As there are several similar coastal species of Tibicen, I want to be sure of ID. Advice welcomed. Thanks

Tibicen davisi (MALE, brown color form)
Davis' Southeastern Dog-day Cicada
This is a very common species here in the Southeast.
They are usually associated with pine trees and most abundant in areas rich with pines!
