Size
Forewing length 14-17 mm. (1)
Range
Southern Idaho, Utah and western Colorado south to southern Mexico. Range does not overlap with S. rugifrons. (1)
Remarks
"Stiria rugifrons and intermixta are extremely close morphologically and superficially. Stiria intermixta may be just the southwestern US Mexican race of rugifrons. The ranges of variability in both the male and female genitalia overlap and cannot be used to separate the two species consistently." (2)

Stiria dyari - lacks dark basal patch. Limited to southern Nevada, southern California and Baja California.
Stiria rugifrons - range does not overlap, more northerly and easterly.
