Ladybird larva 1

Ladybird larva 1

Moved from ID Request.

wish I knew...
I am turning all sorts of envious colors, I want some new species!

The ones w/ only a few markings are probably early instars, most larvae start out almost unmarked and become more colorful and recognizable as they grow.

None of them are the multicolored Asian, at least.

I'm getting the coccinellid larval key, though
I should add that I've requested the Rees et al. "Larval key to Genera and selected Species of North American Cocinellidae" through interlibrary loan, and with that in hand I will certainly come back to these larvae, and hopefully provide some definitive answers!
