Abundant fly on bean plant - Chrysomya megacephala

Abundant fly on bean plant - Chrysomya megacephala
Uptown, on river levee, Orleans Parish, Louisiana, USA
August 23, 2009
Size: ~1cm
This was at a dog park, so I'm not sure if these flies were attracted to the bean plant, or were just hanging out on leaves between meals of dog frass.

Chrysomya megacephala, a male
aka hairy maggot blowfly

Thanks Ron!
They were simply everywhere, but having read the info page for this group, I guess they were just basking in the sun between meals.
