Goodly Sized Orb Weaver - Neoscona crucifera

Goodly Sized Orb Weaver - Neoscona crucifera
William R. Mason Regional Park, Orange County, California, USA
August 26, 2009
Size: 1.5cm body
Looks a little different from the usual large orb weavers around here. Especially notice the spots and lack of a cross mark on the abdomen, but that could just be the angle; and it might be just another Neoscona crucifera.

Neoscona crucifera
would be my guess as well. Probably just a little darker one. Nice shot though.
