flower longhorn? - Typocerus velutinus

flower longhorn? - Typocerus velutinus
Merrimack, New Hampshire, USA

Found on milkweed flowers.

I believe...
...this is Typocerus velutinus. The transverse yellow markings are well delimited, with only the second one interrupted, and I see no interruption of the basal pubescent band of the pronotum. It's hard to see the lateral elytral margins, but the beetle lacks the generally darker brown, more robust, more strongly tapered appearance of T. deceptus. Compare with this photo.

Flower Longhorn
Typocerus -- someone else may be able to id it down to species.
