I found this insect while cleaning out the dog pens at the pound; it was just vegging out near the gutter. Honestly, I am quite insect-illiterate, but one can't help but be curious....

I just did some research on them and have found them to be really neat "little" bugs. I also realized why I was unable to ID it on my own earlier... I made the mistake of thinking it was a beetle of sorts. It seems like a pretty common mistake, and there is no surprise that I fell for that assumption.
