Found rooting through goldenrod flowers (which accounts for the yellow pollen stuck to its body). The white markings suggest this is E. sepulcralis. Can someone confirm this ID?

Euphoria sepulcralis
Yes, Euphoria sepulcralis, it is distinctive. Neat to see the fall "flight" mentioned by Harpootlian (1)--see guide page.
