Photo#32712
moth - Xestia

moth - Xestia
Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
August 19, 2005
Size: 24 mm head-to-wingtips
Came to UV lights. I presume this is same species as Photo#32711.

Looks like........
genus Xestia. Probably in the c-nigrum/dolosa complex where all of the photos on BugGuide are. I would say the same for this photo of yours:

Thank you, Matthew.
I've moved both there to join at least one other pic of mine. I only shoot moths because they show up on my moth sheet while I'm waiting for beetles, plus, I know others on bugguide appreciate them (or not), depending on the photo quality.
