Black Wasp - Sphex pensylvanicus

Size: approx 2-3 inches
Rather large black wasp with blueish/black wings. Does not have the thin "waist" associated with Blue Mud Daubers

Sphecidae.
It is still a sphecid, most likely Sphex pensylvanicus. Female.
