additional info this dead Cirada
I've had this flying and than burrowing bug come to my lawn yearly in late July throught August. The bug flys as thought it will attack but it does not and will not sting. This bug burrows a hole in the lawn sideways leaving a mound of dirt on lawn. I would love to know how to prevent bug from visiting my lawn yearly as it turns a beautifull lawn into brown(dirt) blotches. The bug also leaves it's skin shell clinging to wood areas and than leaving and not returning until the following July/August to Ocean Pines, Berlin, MD not far from Ocean City, MD.
