Unknown Sac - Hyalophora cecropia

Unknown Sac - Hyalophora cecropia
Deep River, Ontario, Canada
August 27, 2005
Size: 3" (7.5 cm)
This was on a small shrub. A very tough fibrous material which is like shiny paper (light brown), inside are many wooven fibres protecting the inner core. The core is shaped like a cocoon.
Any suggestions on what made it?
