Found in a funnel web created in a large clump of moss on the rock face of the draw.

This is probably a Callobius but not too likely to be C. pictus, which is not known from Ferry County. C. nevadensis and C. canada are the most likely but some rare species occur in the area too. Female Callobius are not too easy to ID even with an epigynum. Relative eye sizes and the ventral spines on the first and second legs are also useful characters.

Im interested in the placement of the specimen. Looking at the distribution map on the Nearctic spider database, it looks like
C. pictus
is restricted to west of hte mountains along the coast. If this specimen is
C. pictus
it would be the furthest east recorded from what I see.
