Deltocephalus sp.
Probably D. pulicaris, a common species on lawns in the NE.

unknown nymph
Sorry, not D. pulicaris - I found a specimen in our collection, and it has pale crossbands on all the abdominal segments.

My next best guess would be D. flavocostatus. We have only one nymph associated with this species, but it is a uniform color like most Deltocephalus nymphs. However, it might be a nymph of some other species that just got mixed in.

The only way to be sure what this is, is to rear it! So far, we have it recorded from several states including NY, MA (see 133757) and LA.

thanks...
i guess another for the guide. i had a good day with hoppers.
