I like those cooperative critters too!
Those are some great pictures! In my most humble of opinions, I'd say that you do indeed have an ichneumid wasp there. The only way to tell the difference between an ichneumid and an braconid wasp is to examine their wings. The ichneumid has 2 recurrent veins and the braconid only has 1. I say ichneumid because we have wasps that look just like that one here in Ontario and they are ichneumids.

Thanks ^_^ I thought it might be -I was going by the banded antenae and how active it was. They are hard to photograph-they are so busy. I don't think my photo is quite sharp enough to count veins though. Almost...I'm getting better if the insect co-operates ^_^
