Beetle Larva? - Phengodes

Beetle Larva? - Phengodes
Pinery Provincial Park, Lambton, Ontario, Canada

Size: 8-10 cm
I found this little critter crawling around in the parking lot. I think it's some kind of beetle larva but I have no idea. Anything anyone can tell me will be helpful.

Cheers

Eats millipedes
I believe I recall that glowworms eat millipedes. They have a way of disabling the millipede before it can release its defensive toxins.

Glow worm.
This is a glow worm, family Phengodidae. If you still have it, see if it lights up in a dark room. It should glow between the abdominal segments, like a caterpillar cloaked in halos. This is either a larva, or an adult female. If it is a larviform female, it will have compound eyes. Nice find.
