Night-flying hymenoptera - Odontophotopsis - male

Night-flying hymenoptera - Odontophotopsis - Male
Lake Roosevelt, Ferry County, Washington, USA
August 19, 2009
Size: 12mm
I took this to be a male mutillid wasp but don't know for sure. It and a few others just like it were attracted to a black light set out at midnight for a few hours. Anything more definitive would be greatly appreciated. 1st of 2 photos.
