Crab Spider - Xysticus

Crab Spider - Xysticus
Mountville, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, USA
September 16, 2005
My guess is genus Xysticus. Can anyone comfirm? Thanks!

I think that's a good guess...
I would need to see the eye arrangement clearly to say with certainty (to rule out other genera), but the shape and coloration are reasonable, and based on a ID-key for crab spiders, Xysticus have three or more sets of ventral setae (spines) on their Tibia I (third leg segment from the end, front leg set), which it appears this specimen does (I think I can see 4 or 5 sets).

I could not confirm/deny the ID, but I think it is a very good guess. :)

Thanks!
