when I visit my mom in Topeka these wasps are EVERYWHERE but I haven't been able to take a picture of one.... very frustrating!

I had to pull the branch down closer with one hand and camera in the other. Not an easy shot I'd say. Luckily it wasn't too skittish of a wasp, and it gave me a few chances before taking off. There were two around, but I don't recall seeing them before. Hope you find some cooperative ones in Topeka :)
