Size: ~1 cm body
Lone individual on blade of grass along trail in prairie opening in woods. I see webbing in the cropped photo, which I did not notice in the field at the time.

An orb weaver in the genus Neoscona
Probably just waiting out the daylight till she can rebuild her web and hunt in the evening.
