Archytas?

Archytas?
Huntley Meadows Park, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA
September 7, 2009
I'm thinking Archytas. Any idea to species?

Moved
Moved from Tachinidae.

Tachinidae: Tachinini...possibly Juriniopsis
Tachinidae: Tachinini...possibly Juriniopsis...need a more dorsal view to see important features. It is not Archytas, as it has too many spines on the abdomen

Moved
Moved from Flies.

Pretty sure it's not a Tachinid.
I was just corrected on a similar fly, which turned out to be too spiney for Archytas. Hopefully, Norm Woodley will see yours, too. (I can't find the other one.)

Not a tachinid?
Are you kidding? This is a tachinid, but you are right about it probably not being Archytas.

You called it right, Eric.
I meant not Archytas, as you surmised. Sorry for any confusion.
