What about Procecidocharoides
What about Procecidocharoides penelope (Osten Sacken, 1877)?

Fruit Fly
Thank you for your suggestion, Dennis. So far I have been unable to find an image of Procecidocharoides penelope online. I went through all that seemed promising via a Google search. Tomorrow I'll try some that don't seem promising.

Your pictures look very simil
Your pictures look very similar to Procecidocharoides flavissima, which is the western species. P. penelope is the eastern equivalent. Foote and Blanc state that the midsection of the thorax is covered by numerous short, blunt setae and the abdomen and legs are yellowish brown without any darker markings. That seems to fit your picture.

Nice fly.
Suggestion: Move your post to Flies for expert attention.

Thanks for the suggestion, Ron. Recently I have been trying family (as per your previous suggestion), sometimes genus and sometimes just ID Request. I don't see any pattern as to which is most likely to get expert attention. I haven't tried order. I will now.

Flies and bee flies I do from experience.
