Stunning color phase
I've seen a lot of Hog Sphinx (hunting through grape vines is one of my favorite past times) and seen many different color and pattern variations - but this guy takes the prize. Gorgeous caterpillar!

Darapsa
okay..i belive this is darapsa myron the (hog sphinx) Virginia creeper sphinx.. but i have written Bill O to take a look at it, and we'll see what Ryan has to say too. but thats my guess.

Caterpillar id
Most, if not all, of the Darapsa species (Sphingidae family) are green, but many take on dark colouration prior to pupation, especially if pupae are going to overwinter. I can rule out choerilus due to dark lateral line. Of the other two, myron or versicolor, my first guess would be myron.
Bill Oehlke

well one thing we know this isnt a unicorn caterpiller
this is. i havent a clue as to who this is..but i mean to find out.
