Schistocerca, Bird Grasshopper
Andrew-thank you for your genus ID, "Schistocerca" and immature status. It was located in a 3 1/4 acre grown up field of Dog Fennel and other weeds here on Skidaway Island, Chatham County, Ga. I understand the species makes a good fishing bait. Regards,
