Bombus impatiens? - Bombus impatiens - male

Bombus impatiens? - Bombus impatiens - Male
Todd Sanctuary, Butler County, Pennsylvania, USA
August 23, 2009
Size: 1/2 inch
It was a chilly morning and several of these guys were very quite on the goldenrod flowers.
This individual was smaller than the griseocollis I've seen in Maryland.
Is this Bombus impatiens? What characters do I look for to tell them apart?
