Australian cockroach, for the search engine
Just wanted to get the common name on the page so someone searching for "Australian cockroach" will find it. It is a snazzy critter!

Close- the pale lateral stripes on the anterior margins of the wings make this Periplaneta australasiae. This species also has more contrast between the colors in the pronotum making it a little more jazzy than the typical American Cockroach, although the lateral stripes on the wings is a much more diagnostic character. That's a nice cockroach shot. It does appear to match visually. Yours certainly has distinct markings. Let's wait and see what the cockroach experts have to say.
