mites on carrion beetles - Poecilochirus

Size: mites 1 - 1.5 mm
You can see how the elytra are rotated up and in on each other. The edges of two mites are visible on the elytral tops -- now pretty much the undersides in this position. (One daredevil apparently didn't want to buckle in.)
