Dilema: I have four species of tiny adult carabids in one rearing container and I seem to have found three species of carabid larvae in the same container, the latter of which I have now separated in plastic sorter-box cubicles so they won't eat each other and so their parents won't eat them.
These images are of the largest species (at present anyway), distinguished by a flesh-tone head and black face. Notice also the toothed mandibles.
I hope to rear these little guys to maturity, feeding them on shrimp-pellet fishfood, springtails and occasional earthworm medallions ;-)
I expect that
one adult species can be eliminated since I have only one individual in the container. Links to the others are
here, here, and here.
