Grasshoper. What genus and species? - Schistocerca - female

Grasshoper. What genus and species? - Schistocerca - Female
Holly Hill, Volusia County, Florida, USA
September 19, 2009
Size: 2 inches

I've been looking at this one
over and over, and it's difficult. However, based on pattern and proportions, I think S. damnifica is probably correct.

Moved from Grasshoppers, Crickets, Katydids.

Moved
Moved from ID Request.

looks like a Genus Schistocerca - Bird Grasshopper
to me, though this one looks unfamiliar to me. Let's see what other people think.
EDIT - I think I found it -
Mischievous bird grasshopper - Schistocerca damnifica

Right and wrong
Definitely a Schistocerca, but this is a specimen that 'just' emerged from the "skin" at the left in the image. So, its pigments have not yet manifested and the exoskeleton is still soft and vulnerable.
