This is a male Ponera. These little guys are surprisingly distinct, having a cinctus between the pre- and postsclerites of abdominal segment IV, a terminal metasomal spine, and the distinctly "shouldered" parameres. Interestingly, although preliminary molecular phylogenetic results place Ponera and Hypoponera distant to one another, the males share the "shouldered" parameres (Hypoponera lacks the terminal spine and the strong cinctus). Ok, and finally, I am going to hazard that this is P. pennsylvanica. James Trager would be able to tell you about the distribution of the aptly named P. exotica.

Alate male ant
Interesting. Have no idea even what subfamily this is in, though it should be in either Formicinae or Ponerinae.

This is a Ponerinae
Most likely Ponera pennsylvanica.
