Mosquito - Psorophora cyanescens

Mosquito - Psorophora cyanescens
Desoto, Dallas County, Texas, USA
September 21, 2009
Size: ~11mm
My garden workday began with this personal invasion on my knuckle. I don't know if anyone can tell anything from the picture--it was large for the mosquitos that I usually see, but there is something very disconcerting about both feeling and seeing your body being invaded!
