Giant House Spider - Tegenaria gigantea - male

Giant House Spider - Tegenaria gigantea - Male
Kent, King County, Washington, USA
September 21, 2009
Size: 1.5 cm. (approx.)
I found this spider in a utility tub in my laundry room. He couldn't climb the smooth sides of the tub, which made it very easy to wrangle him into a "catcher" to move him outside for a few pictures in better light. He was very "cooperative" in holding still for a few seconds, then he'd run(gallop!!) a few yards...stop/run/stop, etc.

Giant House Spider
is my guess. Compare with others here.

Thank-you!
Thanks once again for taking the time to ID another spidie for me. I really appreciate being able to come here with my questions...and I REALLY APPRECIATE everyone here!
